Rant-Men With Tiny Dogs

Most of us guys think of our dogs as giant musclebound pups that can actually scare and bite people when needed. So, what's up with men with these tiny bitesize pooches that only Britney could love.

Come on guys, Man-Up!

Rant-What a Great Time To Fly

Excerpts from USA Today-Craig Wilson

We haven't taken a road trip in quite awhile, but considering what a pain it is to fly, $4 per gallon for gas seems a small price to pay to stay on the ground and not be yelled at by some flight attendant about to lose her job.

There are other bonuses too. We can fill up the trunk and not be charged for the second bag, we have all the legroom we want, and we can pretty much be assured out trip will not be cancelled.

RAVE-44 Years Ago-The Beatles on Ed Sullivan"

By the time the Beatles debuted on The Ed Sullivan Show, America had heard them: Six of their songs were on the radio, two albums were running up the charts and "I Want to Hold Your Hand" was midway through its two month residence at No. 1. But seeing the Beatles was different. Their hair looked funny; their skinny legs ended in pointed boots; they jittered with excitement and they wore the most extraordinary expressions-amused ands amazed, grinning and scanning the furthest reaches of the scream packed balcony.

Playing "All My Loving," "She Loves You," and "Till There Was You," the Beatles revolutionized music that night, and everyone watching felt either a promise or a threat. The songs were full and melodic like pop, yet put across by this self contained electric unit. It was a moment of celebrity uncorrupted, where rock & roll began its modern life as a cultural force, and the Beatles were as jazzed as everyone else tha they were the vehicle of delivery.

Seventy Three Million people watched, still one of the largest TV audiences ever. Artice written by: Karen Schoener

Rant-McCartney Heather Mills or Elliott's Kristen?

I did the math on the Paul McCartney-Heather Mills divorce.
After 5 years of marriage, he paid her $49 million.

Assuming he banged her every night during their 5 year relationship (and being married men, we all know THAT doesn't happen), it ends up costing him $26,849 per lay, not counting attorney's fees and court costs.

On the other hand, Elliot Spitzer's call girl Kristen charges $4,000 an hour. Crazy, right?

But... Had Paul McCartney employed Kristen for 5 years, he would've paid $7.3 million for an hour of sex every night for 5 years (a savings of $41+million).

Value-added benefits are:
• a 22 year old hot babe,
• no begging,
• no coaxing,
• never a headache,
• wide open menu,
• ability to put BOTH legs around you,
• no bitching and complaining or 'to do' lists.
• Best of all, she leaves when you're done, and comes back the next day, ready for another round.
• All at 1/7th the cost, with no legal fees.

Is it just me, or is Kristen a WAY better deal?

RAVE-NASA Beams The BEATLES

Amazing! NASA recently broadcast "Across the Universe" a song recorded by the Beatles in 1968, in the direction of Polaris, the North Star. The track, written principally by John Lennon, was transmitted from a giant antenna i Madrid and is currently traveling 186,000 miles per second toward its intended destination, which is 2.5 quadrillion miles away. It will be 431 years before the song can be heard on the North Star. (From an article written by Jon Coplon)

Rave-Keith Rochards Writes "I Can't Get No Satisfaction"

One night on the Rolling Stones third US tour, Keith awoke in his room at the Gulf Motel in Clearwater, Florida with a riff in his mind. He played the riff into his tape recorder beside the bed and went back to sleep. The next day, Keith explained to Mick that the words he'd thought up were "I can't get no satisfaction." Neither Keith nor Mick wanted the finished song released as a single, but they were outvoted. It became the Stones first number 1 hit.

Why Only 8 Soft Drink Choices?

What kind of world is it where fast food restaurants have only eight soft drink choices? Coca Cola is looking to change all that and have come up with a machine that dispenses many combinations. The Bev-olution looks and works like a standard soft drink dispenser. But, it also has a nozzle that shoots six non-carbonated liquids, from Nestea to Powerade to flavors like cherry and vanilla. That is more than 4,000 combinations! Now we are talking!
